On my way into work the other morning, Finish What He Started by Steven Curtis Chapman came on and it encouraged me so much. As I listened to this song over and over again, it reminded me that my story is still being written. It’s only just begun.
No matter what your age or stage of life, God is working.
So what’s going on now is just a start, just a beginning, of a great work he is doing in all of us. We’ve been redeemed if we’ve placed our trust in Jesus Christ. If we’ve come to that place and we believe that he is our only way to God, we will live on with him forever. He will finish his work through to completion here on earth, and then on to the other side.
I hope this encourages you today to stay the course and to keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. Remember to trust his process, his timing, his faithfulness, and his goodness.
Psalm 46 says that God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
Isaiah 40:28 says, Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding.
He sees you. He knows you. He understands.
He’ll finish what he started.
